Photonis Echo Image Intensifier Tube

The PRX-14 night vision goggle includes an ECHO image intensifier tube. With a high Figure of Merit (FOM: between 1600 and 2000) and Ultra-fast Auto-Gating, ECHO commercial grade tubes serve many night vision applications for users that require the extra range and details at night - it is the best available tube from the commercial line.

These tubes come as small anvis 10160 type as standard, but we can provide you with any type you want (PVS7 or PVS14 manual gain type) feel free to contact us in this case.

Photonis BASIC Image Intensifier Tube

The PRX-14Lite night vision goggle includes an BASIC image intensifier tube. With a nominal Figure of Merit (FOM) and Auto-Gating, commercial grade tubes serve many night vision applications for users that require the basic range and details at night to start in the Night Vision world with an unbeatable price/performance ratio. Every image intensifier is supplied with its unique data sheet, providing the relevant performance information for the user.

Photonis doesn't put any minimum FOM (Figure Of Merit) on these tubes, most of them are around 1400, with a max FOM of 1600.

Optic fiber diameter is a little bit smaller than ECHO and Commercial tubes in general and gives you a >30° FOV instead of the fixed 40° "standard".

Every image intensifier is supplied with its unique data sheet, providing the relevant performance information for the user and a 12 months Photonis warranty.

Our tubes are available in White or Green, which matchs to the two types of phosphore's hue. Choice is yours and depend on your output's preferences.

GREEN PHOSPHOR

Traditional image intensifier tubes use a P-43 phosphor screen output, resulting in the yellow-green image that has become the signature view through most Gen II/III night vision technology. The human eye can see more shades of green than any other color and users have reported that their eyes adjust better back to the dark with green phosphor. Also green phosphor system provides 20-30% extra gain compared to W/P. To prolong continuous used Purple filter can be employed.

WHITE PHOSPHOR

The White Phosphor tube uses a P-45 phosphor screen, which yields an alternate coloration closer to black and white imagery. This change in color has been reported to enhance overall object recognition while providing contrast sensitivity equivalent to green phosphor. Users have reported that nighttime scenes show greater contrast and a brighter image with white phosphor. The white light causes less eye fatigue which is important for continuous use.
